I'm on a boat. -And I'm finally on Christmas Vacation! The first thing that pops into my head when I hear "Christmas" is the movie National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (it's a family tradition). We aren't like most families who sit around the fireplace to watch the classics like: It's A Wonderful Life, A Christmas Story, or Miracle on 34th Street. We prefer the dry humor...and get a good laugh because my father is a "Clark Griswald"-type. We aren't very conventional; which is why I ditched my ugly Christmas sweater to wear stripes; by a boat...I'm not into the whole nautical-thing, however when it's -7 degrees in Duluth, Minnesota, all rules are thrown out the window, in effort to stay warm! With Christmas approaching, here are my 5 favorite quotes from National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.
Ellen: Clark, Audrey's frozen from the waist down.
Clark: That's all part of the experience, honey.
Clark: Since this is Aunt Bethany's 80th Christmas, I think she should lead us in the saying of Grace.
Aunt Bethany: [turns to Lewis] What, dear?
Nora Griswold: Grace!
Aunt Bethany: Grace? She passed away thirty years ago.
Clark: 'Tis the season to be merry.
Mary: That's my name.
Clark: No shit.
Clark: Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, kiss my ass. Kiss his ass. Kiss your ass. Happy Hanukkah.
Eddie: Merry Christmas. Shitter was full.
