I have been collecting vintage t-shirts since before it was "cool" to wear vintage shirts. My main thrill in life is hunting for that perfect shirt. -That doesn't say much about my life, but lets not go down that road (wah-wah). Searching for vintage is a lot like the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Some shirts are too small, some are too big, some are too stiff, and some are just ugly. Needless to say, I get very excited when the stars align and I find one! What drives me crazy, is now these basics are coppin' my style. The same people who [for years] would say "Ew you are going to buy someone's old shirt" are now complementing me on my Pink Floyd shirt... and saying "[They] got the same one from H&M." First of all, our shirts are not the same... My t-shirt is authentic vintage from 1973, yours is a mass-produced knock off of MY SHIRT. ...Secondly, we will never be the same! I am Goldilocks... I will eat your porridge, break your chair, and sleep in your bed. While you on the other hand, are a smelly old bear... A (hairy) bear that will stand in line for a Unicorn Frappuchino and instagram your Michael Kors purchases. Not 👏🏼 the 👏🏼 same 👏🏼. -To show you what real vintage looks like, here are a few of my favorites...
