Do you ever stop to think how easily accessible we are? I personally love technology, I need the newest phone, the best camera, the hottest gadget...I am full in! I think technology makes life easier and more efficient, my phone and computer are basically my second appendages. There are a multitude of pros when discussing high tech toys, but there are also a shit-ton of cons...
I love my personal time... whether I am writing, or reading, or simply in my own zone... I like to disconnect. The sound of my phone can literally put me in a 2006 Britney Spears meltdown umbrella-style! I have learned that I can get away for about 1 hour on "Airplane Mode" or "Do Not Disturb" (because thats how long my yoga class is) longer than an hour, and people expect correspondence. There is no way to get out of touch.... Once you dodge the phone call and text, then there is e-mail (both work and personal), then there is Instagram Direct Messages, and then Facebook Messenger, Snapchat, Twitter, LinkedIn, FaceTime, WhatsApp, WeChat, Skype, Tinder... Literally so many outlets to communicate... when I simply don't like communicating. -And there is a special place in hell for those people who call, and text right after telling you they called... [Eye roll]
I could not be happier to be in Minnesota, minimal service, spotty WiFi, and I am fully able to disconnect. A good shuckin' time!!
