If you have been keeping up, you’ll know moderation doesn’t exist in my life. I never really “like” something… I am either obsessed or hate. So when I find something I love, best believe I am going to push it on my friends, family, strangers, the internet, and used-car-salesman you until you share my same love. Here are some things I love that literally nobody asked for.
My Body by Emily Ratajkowski-I know I know but you have to listen… not read… listen. Her voice is so relaxing that listening on audible was the most pleasant ASMR I’ve ever encountered and the best thing to come out of 2021. -And also the book is really fucking good. It makes you re-think everything you thought, not only about her but about society and the power dynamics that everyone can relate to in some way or another. A highlight for me is when she says “my ass” multiple times in the book… WHEN (not if) you listen you will know. Also I loved the way she writes talking about the sweaty guys in clubs paints such a clear and vivid imagery and casts the perfect amount of adjective-shade (think I just made that up)
818- I just have to say #IYKYK this one, again like the above, until someone gives it a try, there is a lot of preconceived opinions about it. The taste, the price, the fact that I drank copious amounts (my lack of moderation wins again) in Las Vegas and didn’t have a hangover the next morning should be a clear indication of my love and devotion for this. I have talked to strangers about this where someone literally asked if I worked for the company… No but I’m sure Kenny will read this and hit me up. 818 Blanco, chilled, taken as a shot, no chaser. You will thank me in the morning.
Drunk Elephant- I have been a fan since I tried Baby Facial and it instantly resurfaced my leather face to feel almost life-like. I have collaborated with them but don’t think I won’t still be brutally honest… and I can honestly say when used together it will change your skin. Note for usage… If you self-tan be cautious when using A Passioni Retinol Cream and C Firma Fresh Day Serum. They are amazing products but they will completely take off your spray tan… I learned the hard way on that one, and there was about a 12 shade difference from my neck and my chest (it goes without saying that moderation won again. I am not a “Deep” skin tone, but it does get me the tan-est)
ASOS- I mean all you basic bitches shop at Zara and H&M and that is great, not sustainable, but you are conscious enough that you are making an effort to try and be trendy (and not wearing sweatpants everyday for the past 2 years like me). Most of my closet is from the flea market, Wasteland, Grailed or Depop… but you sometimes need things to put an outfit together. ASOS is the same price point as Zara and H&M but the variety just hits different… and it’s a hidden gem where you won’t be in line at Starbucks ordering your Peppermint Latte wearing the same shirt as the other basic bitch behind you.
Guasha- I am probably late to this and you are all already woke on this… But I got a metal guasha and my life is forever changed. I have a big fat face. I literally feel like I gain all my weight in my face and am actually just transforming into clay-motion or some sort of bobble-head, I digress… After breaking my jade guasha, I ordered a metal one and keep her in the fridge. I use her religiously and I can see the difference— and that is not an invitation for you trolls to DM and say “no you still have a fat face” it’s saying you really need to try. I use mine with Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Oil.
Sophie- It goes without saying that I am not just Sophie’s dad, Facebook fan page moderator and photographer, but I am also her agent. -And I can’t help but think the world is sleeping on her. The world is still hung up on Tika. Every time a stranger comments on Sophie’s beauty, they always ask “is she the same breed as that instagram dog?” -Yes she is, but Sophie is just a younger, hotter version. 2022 is the year of Sophie.
