Unpopular Opinion

I am aware this may be triggering, as these are "UNPOPULAR OPINIONS" ... If you are "on one", a Karen/troll, or are going to take my words out of context... Please move on...

Unpopular Opinion #1: If you work too much, you're a workaholic. If your vice is drugs and alcohol, you're an addict. But when you sleep around with any-and-every-one, we can't label you a slut? -Because that is "slut-shaming" (What are we supposed to call you?). -Which brings me to...

Unpopular Opinion #2: Labels. Like I said, calling someone a "slut" is "slut-shaming" but you are literally using the word "SLUT" in "slut-shaming" thus bringing the term to life. I don't know if that makes sense, so let me give you another example: The "don't say gay" bill. You can't say it, but it is literally in the title (shows the intelligence of these Republicans)... Like if you are in a classroom and say "GAY" someone could then say: "That is against the "Don't say gay- bill"... and then THEY just said "GAY" ...when they said "Don't say gay-bill"... and if someone heard that person, well you get the idea. Hope that painted a clearer picture, but at the end of the day, I don't care because that is in Florida and therefore they can all say "GAY" and get lynched or whatever archaic method they have planned -LOL... In fact, can we just cut Florida off of the US. to get rid of those crazies altogether?!...(That is not an unpopular opinion... I think that is a majority).

Unpopular Opinion #3: Everyone wanting to feel recognized and included. I watched the Abercrombie & Fitch documentary and do I think it's wrong?... 100%... However, if someone wants to use their money and open a store catered to a certain demographic isn't that just strategic marketing? Couldn't we say the same thing for Lane Bryant? -If I went to apply for a job there, I probably wouldn't get hired (actually I probably would, cause I am a good interview -I digress) because I am not plus size and I am not female... and that is their brand DNA and their target customer. Does that make me inferior to them (when they theoretically don't hire me), no. Does that mean every time I don't get a job it is because they are racist, or sexist etc.... also no. It simply means that I may be better qualified at a job that has a closer parallel to my personal style, character, personality etc....The employees at Foot Locker probably have different interests than the people working at Gucci. That is called "BRANDING"! The way ALO is branded for athletic types and Bass Pro Shop is branded for everyone I went to high school with. It's how the company uses their target customer and represents that in their stores. -Good American has sizes for (nearly) everyone, but they don't have menswear...isn't that sexist? Barnes and Noble sells coffee but not alcohol, isn’t that rude? What about McDonalds ...they don't have Mexican or Chinese menu options...should we go after them for not representing all cultures? When you go to the mall, how many employees are over the age of 40? -Not many... Do you think the retail world has some magical retirement plan where you retire at 40 years old? -No. That is age-ism. Think about that...

-To reiterate, I think any form of racism, sexism etc etc etc... is WRONG, but it's the world we live in, and there is not a single brand or store (besides a monopoly like Amazon) that would be able to cater (physically and financially) to every single person in the world. That is the joy of having freedom, if you don't like how something is done, or you want something that isn't offered... use your money and start your own company, brand, pyramid scheme...

Unpopular Opinion #4/5: I was very vocal during the Winter Olympics when I expressed my anger over an underage figure skater being allowed to compete after failing a drug test. If you are taking performance enhancing drugs, how are you able to compete with natural athletes? The substances are banned for a reason. I don't like cheaters. [Karma evened the playing field when said skater spent more time on her butt than her skates... she should have been taking anti-anxiety meds instead of endurance pills, cause that was mental.]

(Unpopular Opinion #5/5): My 3 am thoughts then brought me to the modeling industry. Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner are among the most famous models of our time, and both have [obviously] had plastic surgery to create those iconic faces. (Side note: I am all for cosmetic surgery if you are self conscious about something) -But when you are using your purchased face in an industry based on looks, that feels like an unfair advantage. How are natural models (who are genetically blessed) supposed to go against these enhanced, finely-tuned faces and bodies at a casting? I feel like that is cheating... and again, I don't like cheaters.

Unpopular Opinion #6: I don't think The Office is funny. I've tried many times and just can't get into it (even though a lot of people whose opinion I cherish love it). I'm not a fan.

Unpopular Opinion #7: Every election my IG feed is blown up with people encouraging everyone to go out and vote. YES, YOU should probably use your right to vote, but why encourage others to? You could literally be encouraging opposing votes against your choice. Like why would I use my platform to remind Republicans to vote? -That is stupid. ALSO if someone "forgets" to vote, they probably aren't up-to-date on the candidates policies... So you are just pushing uninformed voters to the polls... feels very uneducated and very Trump America to me. *If you insist on showing your goddamn sticker, give bullet points as to why you should vote for X-Y-Z (any democrat).

Wow if you made it this far your blood is probably boiling and I can predict some nasty DM's in my future... but if you don't hate me, that would be your Unpopular Opinion... and ILYSM for that! -And Thank You!
