My little girl is 1 year old today! Where has the time gone. I feel like just yesterday I spotted you walking down the street from my window at work, and I felt inclined to run outside to meet you. Your adopted dad couldn’t take care of you and lucky [for me] I got you out of there in time. Since the moment I saw you, you stole my heart and continue to every day. I love how you can modestly stare at yourself for hours in any mirror, and your thirst for attention is admirable… I wonder where she learned that? I look forward to your kisses to wake me up each morning, and you are the best cuddle-r in the whole world. You help me pick out socks every morning and you get a little too excited (humping) when I wear sweatpants, but you are weird and eclectic, just like daddy. We have been on so many adventures together and no matter what kind of day I am having I can count on you to put a smile on my face. You truly are man’s (my) best friend. Happy Birthday Sophie!
